The following Terms and Conditions apply when a client is booking the services of Reindeer2Hire without Santa Chris Nicholas. If your booking is a combined package booking for Reindeer2Hire services and Santa Chris Nicholas together, please click here
The following is the Reindeer2Hire booking terms and conditions; please read them carefully before making a booking.
The terms and conditions set forth on this page and the written booking confirmation issued through Reindeer2Hire form a contract between the client (the person named on the invoice) and Reindeer2Hire (reindeer and animal hire service). When a client makes a booking, it is understood that they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions set out herein.
The person booking Reindeer2Hire and must be over 18 years of age. Please also note that a contract does not exist between us until the deposit has been paid.
When making an enquiry to us about your event, we will price it accordingly. This is not a confirmation of booking, and the date will not be held for you just because a price has been obtained. Any such enquiry confirms that we are dealing with your booking request and is not a confirmation of it.
Please note that if a deposit is not received on time, we will not be able to keep that date for you, and it will be given to someone else. All balances related to bookings must be paid in full on completion of the job, and interest will be incurred on any overdue balance.
Our invoice to you and your subsequent payment by return creates a binding contract between us. These terms and conditions form the basis of your contract between yourself and ‘Reindeer 2 Hire’ (and incorporating our sister websites). You should read and ensure you fully understand them, raising any queries you may have, before asking us to confirm your booking. By asking us to confirm your booking, it is understood that you have had, and taken, the opportunity to read and agree to our terms and conditions and to have actually done so before a contract between us came into existence.
Payment can be made through our bank, the details of which will be on your confirmation invoice. If you require our bank details outside of this, then please ask. We accept all cheques or direct payment into our bank account but remember this takes time to set up.
All payments for new clients and last minute bookings are to be made in full prior to the event by means of an agreement with both parties.
Where a booking is taken with 2 reindeer and 1 is unwell on the day or adverse circumstances prevail, we will endeavour to replace it with another reindeer or sleigh, and the price will remain unchanged.
We expect all clients to have consideration for our animals. If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way that causes or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress our reindeer, we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the booking with immediate effect. No refunds will be made, and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
Deposits are non-refundable. You must pay a deposit of 50% at the time of booking.
If you wish to cancel your booking, for whatever reason, you must advise us in writing. Please contact us for the address. Further, any outstanding balance due for the booking shall be deemed as payable. 2-7 days: half of the balance will be payable. On the date of booking: 100% of the balance is payable.
We also reserve the right to charge you £20 per day for any late payment. Our confirmation invoice will show the total price you must pay in enough time to allow the money to reach us by this deadline. If you decide to select the option to pay in full at the time of booking, you may do so, but this will not change any of the conditions, which form part of this contract.
In case of breaking down, traffic problems and road closures etc., that are beyond our control, we will endeavour to get to your booking as fast as we can. We have full roadside and a special breakdown relay cover independently for our lorries and trailers; if we do not make the booking, then a full refund will be given, or you will have the option to book an additional day with us. If we are late, we will make up the time by staying longer.
There are rules and regulations about how many hours an animal can be on the road and which we always adhere to.
We would like to know if you are unhappy with any of our staff or services no matter how small a complaint. In the unlikely possibility that you do not find our staff friendly or helpful, we would like to know so that we can ensure that our service is improved upon, maintain professionalism and continue to provide our high-quality service at all times.
Where the traffic is so bad these days, we always make sure we leave early, ahead of time to get to a booking. Long journeys are made the day before to venues and we accommodate the animals on a farm. However, please advise us of any major roadworks or any other disruption near the venue prior to our departure that may require extra time. There are rules and regulations about how many hours an animal can be on the road and which we always adhere to. When a major road or motorway is closed, we cannot accept blame for being late, but we will always stay additional hours to make up for the lost time.
‘Force Majeure means any event, which we the supplier or any third party supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity or actual threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, closure of airports, an outbreak of a virus or disease (including but not limited to Coronavirus / COVID19), fire and all similar events outside our control.
